Franklins GQ Patrol Conversion

Franklin's blue Nissan GQ Patrol was in for a visit not long ago.

We love these "grandpa spec"builds and Franklin has owned his GQ forever, loves the car, but the TB42 was thirsty and very underwhelming to to drive.

The solution was to add a 6ltr engine conversion and swap out the old RE4 with a 6l80!
Now this old gal has some serious poke to her, with fully operational tiptronic 6 speed auto, this thing just makes smiles per miles.

We kept as much of the factory feel as we could & upgraded others to get the most out of the new additions. alot of custom piping & finished off with a new exhaust before adding some Koni 88 shocks for some added comfort.

This is one of the nicest most drivable GQ's we have seen here at The 4WD Shed and when you plant your foot this thing smokes rubber!!
