Every Toyota owner has heard the numerous jokes about BYO their own wheel chock or not to park at the top of a hill, for the well known lack of a working handbrake in their vehicle. Some owners have the elusive 4x4 which has a perfectly working handbrake whilst the rest of us are constantly tweaking the cable, replacing shoes etc. One such mod is the Extended Handbrake dogbone.

A high quality aftermarket part for the OEM p/n, this part has been modified by decreasing the depth of one of the grooves that locate on the shoes. This means the shoes are spaced slightly further apart requiring less pull on the cable to apply the hand brake
Benefits are the precise feel, improved operation of the handbrake system overall & less movement required during operation of the hand brake lever inside the vehicle meaning you will be adjusting your handbrake cable less.

Professional fitting is recommended & we can fit them to your vehicle in our workshop. Additional costs may apply.

These are available on their own or in the complete handbrake kit which includes shoes, springs, dogbones etc everything you need to do a major overhaul.

Please Note: Modified Strut will push shoes out an extra 1mm if changing drum shoes for new use 47613-60020 or drum may not fit over shoes.
