Tie Rod Ends are an integral connecting part for your vehicles steering. Having the ability to turn your vehicles wheels is important. Also, usually a RWC item, Tie Rod Ends are a simple replaceable & easily maintained part of your vehicle set up.

Roadsafe 4WD have over the years through rigorous design & testing come up with a much stronger & more developed tie rod end made with more material making it much stronger than the OE ends on your vehicle.

What are some of the signs of it being time to replace the tie rod ends on your vehicle?

  • Uneven tyre wear
  • Noise/Squealing from the front when turning your vehicle
  • Loose feeling when steering
  • Broken tie rods

Preventative maintenance is key! When servicing your vehicle check your tie rods, grease them if needed & replace them if required. Tie rods come in various applications such as "male" or "female" ends & are vehicle & location/rod specific.

If you are not experienced in servicing or replacing these ends, we always recommend using a professional.

Steering & Suspension Lubrication requirements.
If a steering or suspension component is supplied/installed with a Grease Nipple it is imperative that the joints are lubricated at services or when exposed to contaminants.
Lack of lubrication will result in part failure. Ongoing lubrication of the part will extend its lifetime in the vehicle.
This is especially important for 4WD components where contaminants might enter the boot or internal assembly when offroad driving. It then may become necessary to flush the contaminants by greasing the part.
Warranty is not valid on parts that have failed due to lack of lubrication, incorrect lubricant used or internal contamination, so it is advised that all joints are adequately lubricated upon installation & at relevant service intervals.
