Rather than a traditional accelerator cable, many modern vehicles use 'fly by wire' throttle technology. This system relies on a sensor that measures the pedal pressure and position and sends a signal to the vehicle's engine computer which converts to acceleration. Many of these fly by wire systems have a noticeable delay. The EVC Throttle Controller allows you to tune the signal from the accelerator pedal with multiple inbuilt settings to ensure you find a setting that suits your driving style, although there are other products on the market that can offer this performance.
So what Makes Ultimate9 EVC Throttle Controller different?
The EVC Throttle Controller includes an automatic control function that changes the level of throttle performance based on pedal pressure. So if you are in traffic and accelerating gently the EVC Throttle Controller will select setting 1. If you are accelerating hard to overtake, towing a heavy trailer, or just having fun the EVC Throttle Controller will select 9. The result is the smoothest aftermarket control module on the market. We are so confident you will love your EVC Throttle Controller if you don't we will give you your money back.

How It Works.
Eco Mode
ECO mode is designed for economy by reducing the accelerator response time. Also, handy when you are on the trails and looking for a bit more throttle control when crawling.
Ultimate Mode
Ultimate Mode offers 9 sensitivity levels, this allows the driver to tune the controller to the desired level of sensitivity. Choose level 9 and grip the steering wheel tight or hit level 1 for a gentle smooth acceleration.
AC Mode
Automatic control mode automatically selects the sensitivity level based on pedal pressure. If you are in traffic and accelerating gently the EVC Throttle Controller will automatically choose a reduced level of throttle response. If you accelerate hard for overtaking or just even for fun the EVC Throttle Controller will choose a mode with an increased level of throttle response. Automatic Control mode is what makes EVC Throttle Controller the most intelligent throttle controller on the market.
How To Install.
Turn ignition off. Unplug the connector plugged into the accelerator pedal assembly. Plug the EVC Throttle Controller connector into the vehicle’s accelerator pedal. Be cautious not to force into position as this may result in bent pins in the plug. EVC Throttle Controller connector should fit easily into position. Although removing the accelerator pedal from the firewall is not required, it may make access to the plug easier. Re-fit connector into the EVC Throttle Controller. Using cable ties supplied, securely mount the EVC Throttle Controller cable in a position that will not affect the operation of the pedals. Mount the control module on the dash in a position that is easy to access. You may want to check the position at night to ensure the display doesn’t affect night driving.

FAQ
How does it work?
The EVC Throttle Controller modifies the voltage signal from the fly by wire pedal assembly to allow you to tune the response from your accelerator pedal and greatly reduce the dead zone from when you initially depress the pedal commonly referred to as throttle lag. The EVC Throttle Controller does not plug into the OBDII port.
Does EVC Throttle Controller increase power output?
No, EVC Throttle Controllers won't increase power output. They have no control over fuel mapping, air fuel ratio or injection timing etc. The EVC Throttle Controller simply change the way your throttle responds for sharper response. Although the exact result is hard to explain it basically wakes the car up and makes the acceleration feel less lazy.
Is EVC Throttle Controller suitable for Towing?
EVC Throttle Controllers are very useful for towing as they help to get the vehicle moving with less effort, especially useful for towing around town where there is a lot of stopping and starting.
Is EVC Throttle Controller suitable for Manual Transmission?
EVC Throttle Controllers are suited to both Automatic and Manual transmission.
Is EVC Throttle Controller hard to install?
On most vehicles an EVC Throttle Controller can be installed in less than 2 minutes with no special tools or technical knowledge required. It is a simple plug and play device that is designed to specifically integrate into your vehicle.
Is EVC Throttle Controller universal or vehicle specific?
Although there are many shared applications, each EVC Throttle Controller application is relatively unique to each vehicle. Please check our application guide to see if your model is available. If you don't see your vehicle listed please feel free to contact us to check as we are adding new applications all the time.
Is EVC Throttle Controller suitable for petrol vehicles?
The EVC Throttle Controller can be used on both naturally aspirated and forced induction Petrol and Diesel engines.
Can't I just press the accelerator down faster to replicate the same response?
EVC Throttle Controllers work in 2 ways. When you first depress the pedal there is what is referred to as a dead zone where there is very little response, no matter how hard or fast you hit the pedal you can't overcome this. The EVC Throttle Controller converts this signal to action, greatly reducing this dead zone. The second part is opening the throttle earlier in the pedal stroke, in theory you might be able to replicate this by pressing the pedal faster and harder, but in practice you can't.
Will EVC Throttle Controller work with other modifications?
Aftermarket Cruise Control – Yes, to date we have not seen an aftermarket cruise control that won't work with an EVC Throttle Controller including units that plug directly into the fly by wire system.
ECU Tune / Re-flash – Yes, EVC Throttle Controllers can still be used after an ECU tune/reflash. In most instances tuners don't change throttle parameters. Even when throttle parameters are changed the adjustability of throttle response that the EVC Throttle Controller provides can still be quite useful.
Power Chips / Exhaust – Yes, Power chips and upgraded exhaust system work on a different part of the car so an EVC Throttle Controller will only compliment the positive effects of chips and exhausts.
Will an EVC Throttle Controller void my new car warranty?
Any aftermarket/non-genuine modification you make to your new car will have some impact on your new car warranty, if it is deemed to have caused the issue you are seeking warranty on. In respect to EVC Throttle Controller, Ultimate9 has done extensive testing to ensure a correctly fitted EVC Throttle Controller won't damage your vehicle. The EVC Throttle Controller has been designed so that if it develops a fault, the vehicle can be put back to factory settings and the vehicle will return to normal operation. So if you are ever concerned, simply remove the EVC Throttle Controller and plug the factory wiring back into the pedal assembly. In the unlikely event that the EVC Throttle Controller does damage your vehicle the EVC Throttle Controller is fully covered by our product liability insurance.
My EVC Throttle Controller doesn't turn off?
EVC Throttle Controllers don't require their own power source. They rely on power from the accelerator pedal. In many vehicles, when power to the ignition is cut many accessories take some time to power down. You may find it will take 30 seconds before your EVC Throttle Controller turns off. It may also turn off during periods of inactivity such as when cruise control is in operation. Simply touching the accelerator will instantly turn it on.
